Davidsons of Morpeth invites locals to ‘give a gift’ this Christmas
This Christmas, local Vauxhall retailer Davidsons of Morpeth, is keen to put smiles on the faces of children across Morpeth, by playing Santa and delivering a boot full of presents to Wansbeck General Hospital in Ashington, managed by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Gifts donated to the hospital will be distributed to children in the children's assessment unit, child health clinics and children's orthopaedic clinics.
With the help of the local community, the team at Davidsons of Morpeth on Coopies Way aims to collect as many presents as possible in the run up to Christmas. They are therefore inviting people from Morpeth to visit their site to donate a new toy, which will help to make this festive season a really special one for the children at Wansbeck General Hospital.
Faye Tait, Managing Director at Davidsons of Morpeth, comments: “We all know how special Christmas is, especially for children, and this year we really want to get the local community involved in a project that we hope will give the kids at Wansbeck General Hospital a Christmas to remember.
“It’s amazing how such a small gesture can really make a profound difference, so we would like to encourage everyone, whether they have children or not, to get involved and give a gift this Christmas.”
Allison Melvyn, a nursery nurse in the Children's assessment unit, adds: “We’re really grateful Davidsons of Morpeth has offered to help us provide gifts for the children here at Wansbeck General Hospital. Christmas is obviously a very important time for children everywhere, so it’s great that we’ve been given extra help this year.”
Donated gifts will be displayed for all to see in the open boot of the Vauxhall Zafira, which will take centre stage in Davidsons of Morpeth’s showroom. The car will then be used as a 21st Century sleigh to transport the toys to Wansbeck General Hospital.

Davidsons of Morpeth celebrates launch of Astra GTC
Davidsons of Morpeth were proud to invite locals to the launch of the brand new and stunning Vauxhall Astra GTC on Saturday 26th November 2011.
Customers, both existing and new were invited to the showroom for a festive unveiling of the new car, complete with complimentary mulled wine and mince pies. Plus our workshop staff gave free demonstrations on basic motoring maintenance principles, including lights and levels, changing a wheel and how to use the new tyre inflation kit which many new Vauxhall’s are now supplied with. In addition to this we ran a free of charge car wash for all our visitors to the site.
With the support of local businesses the raffle helped raise £300.00 for local middle schools, with some fantastic prizes donated by the retailer and some local businesses which included
